A BOHME Community Angel is a dedicated volunteer who supports our various programmes by contributing their time, skills, and passion to enrich the lives of the seniors in our community. Community Angels help with activities, events, and special initiatives designed to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities vary depending on the programme you're involved in but may include organising and leading activities, assisting with events, engaging with seniors, and providing support to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Our visits to Care Homes/Centres usually take place on weekdays, when many others are busy with their daily lives. As a Community Angel, you'll have the opportunity to take time out of your busy schedule to celebrate and connect with our seniors, showing them they are valued and important. The time commitment is flexible, and we’ll work with you to find a schedule that fits your availability and interests.

We welcome volunteers with a variety of skills and backgrounds. Whether you’re passionate about board games, dancing, singing, or simply love organising events, your enthusiasm and willingness to help are what matter most. No specific experience is required, just a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference.

To become a BOHME Community Angel, simply fill out our volunteer application form on our website or contact our volunteer coordinator. We’ll schedule an orientation to introduce you to our programmes and help you find the best fit for your interests and skills.

Be yourself, do what you are good at, and blend in and have fun with our seniors! We want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your time volunteering, so while there may be a brief orientation, we encourage you to bring your unique talents and energy to the role.
